Thomas Steinbrueck moves to Porsche Design

Porsche Design Group reinforces its position in fashion

Stuttgart. Thomas Steinbrueck is to become the first creative director and coordinator for customer experiences for the Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG). One of the 45-year-old’s foremost tasks in this newly created job will be to promote Porsche Design’s market repositioning as a luxury brand for fashion and accessories.

In his previous post, Thomas Steinbrueck, acting as vice president of collections, was responsible for the design and brand identity of Elie Saab. From 2005 to 2008 he was vice president of merchandising and design for Kenneth Cole, New York. After completing his degree at the renowned Studio Bercot University and L'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris, Steinbrueck commenced his career as assistant designer to Gianfranco Ferré with Christian Dior. In the year 2000, Thomas Steinbrueck received the Moet & Chandon Fashion Fall Award as the “Best New American Designer”; in 1999 he has been awarded with the Timmy Award as “Best New Designer”.
