Porsche Design P´3105: Pure writing pleasure

Exclusive range of pens in two high quality and timeless variants

Stuttgart. Porsche Design presents two very special exclusive writing tools to mark the start of its license partnership with Pelikan. The P'3105 Pure Black fountain pen and the P'3105 Pure Titanium, limited to 200 pieces worldwide, are outstanding with their sleek elegance and timeless reserve. Both are available worldwide from January 2011.

Taking its cues from the first Porsche Design product, the black Chronograph I, the stainless steel Pure Black fountain pen is made entirely in matt black. The totally black design is achieved with a robust coating using the PVD process (physical vapour deposition): this vacuum-based process causes the condensation of a matt black coating of metal nitrides, which also protects the pen against external influences. The elegant clip is milled from solid steel. The fountain pen is supplied with a paperweight in the shape of a Porsche 911. The solid aluminium paperweight has been produced exclusively for this range of writing tools and has a matt black PVD coating to match the fountain pen.

The exclusive Pure Titanium fountain pen is limited to just 200 pieces worldwide. The limited status is clearly shown with an individual, engraved edition number on the front of the end of the pen. The barrel is milled from a solid block of titanium, creating a truly unique writing tool. The exclusivity of the fountain pen is emphasised by specially designed packaging, which also includes a hand-signed certificate and a booklet specific to the product.

Both of the writing tools in the P'3105 range have a completely rhodium plated 18 carat gold nib. The Pure Black pen's nib is available in EF, F, M and B widths. The Pure Titanium is only available with an M width nib. The front of both pens is made of matt-finished, high quality synthetic resin. The caps of both fountain pens have an insert which guarantees that the pens will be ready to write immediately, while protecting them from drying out. These are also supplied with an innovative filling system. The integral converter can be replaced by your choice of two standard ink cartridges or one large capacity cartridge.

The P'1305 Pure Black fountain pen is available for € 475. The strictly limited edition P'3105 Pure Titanium fountain pen costs € 2,500.
